VBS 2011 (8/2011)

Our summer break is coming to a close, but VBS was in full-swing this week! Once again this Summer, as in past Summers, the kids attended VBS at the local Church we attend. The kids had a GREAT week! They learned and did a lot and as always, they decorated their own t-shirts to wear with all of the other kids the last day-- they did a great job, ay?? :)
They all did really well, were full of eagerness & excitement daily, and I love how they look forward to this every year! It's a great opportunity for them. :)

VBS 2010

This week, all 4 kids joined the HIGH SEAS EXPEDITION during Vacation Bible School at HCLC and had a GREAT week! They learned so many new songs (and info), did lots of projects, donated for a lot of great causes, and had tons of FUN!

Once again this year, the kids made themed t-shirts, which every child wore the last day of VBS. They did a great job, didn't they?!?

Lots of "extra" fun things to do on the last day... in the afternoon, the kids enjoyed a "Splashdown" where the local fire dept. came and soaked the kids down with the fire hose! Later that night, the fire dept. came back and made a huge bonfire for all to enjoy. At the bonfire, they were handing out plastic fire hats to the kids, but by the time they got to us, they were all out. As expected, Anthony was upset he didn't get a hat. When a fireman spotted him and asked him what was wrong, the fireman asked Anthony if he's like to try on his "real" fireman's hat, to which Anthony agreed and was THRILLED!! He tells me he's going to be a fireman when he grows up... we'll see! :)

On Sunday morning, we attended Mass where the VBS staff & kids performed for the parish community and the little ones got to join in on the performance, as well. It was a cute and a night ending to an awesome week of VBS! They can't wait to go back next year! :)

VBS - Summer '09 (8/10-8/14/09)

EVERYONE got to go to Vacation Bible School this summer (the triplets & Courtney are now old enough!)... and they ALL had a great time! This was the triplets & Courtney's 1st "classroom experience" and did really well. Everyday, they did projects, went to Church, sang songs, played, etc. and loved it. It was a good experience for all of them. I loved hearing their "version" of their day everyday on our drive home. One day, I asked, "How was your day? What did you learn about today?" and Juliana responded... "The lady told us to go sit on the rug and then we had snack." I said, "Oh, ok... but what did you learn about today?" and she repeated the same response.... lol. :) I had to then ask, "Did you learn about God today?" and the response was, "Yes!" :)
Here are a few pics of their smiling faces... on the 1st day and the last day of VBS (yes-- they made their own t-shirts!).

Mini-VBS ... Easter edition (4/4/09)

Kicking off April and the Easter holiday, all 4 of the kiddies got to go to the mini-Vacation Bible School (Easter celebration) hosted by the Lutheran Church where Angelia attended 3 yr. old Preschool. This was the 1st time the triplets got to attend mini-VBS and they were excited to do "school things" like crafts, etc. They got "crafty", did lots of fun things, & got lots of goodies.

Decorating eggs... without egg dye! Yay-- no mess! :)

Pretty butterflies!

Time to get goody-filled eggs! The kids were only supposed to collect 5 eggs each, but being 3 years old, they collected every egg they found-- every man for themself, I guess!

Making jewelry

Check out our pretty bead crosses! :) We did a great job!

Vacation Bible School! (mid-August '08)

Angelia & Savanna took part in the week-long Vacation Bible School at HCLC. This year's theme for VBS was "The Power of God" and the girls had a BLAST! ... religious instruction was teamed up with Science in mind.
The first 3 pics are pics from the 1st day of VBS... the girls were all "prettied up" and ready to go, but as we were about to leave, the skies opened up and we had a bad downpour and hail! They kids were yelling, "Look... it's snowing!" -- they never saw hail before. But-- thankfully the storm passed quickly and we made it to day 1 of VBS.... just a little late.
The last pic is the girls on their last day of VBS-- sporting their t-shirts they made in VBS that week. :) They did a good job!
