Mommy & Me Tuesday! (6/7/2011)

The local radio station, WPST, was hosting "Mommy & Me Tuesdays at Jenkinson's in Pt. Pleasant, so Memom & I decided to take the Triplets & Courtney. They got to meet "Chris Rollins", a DJ from the radio station, who we hear all of the time on the radio-- they thought this was so cool to meet her! They played a few games, made a craft, played BINGO (Aunt Sharon would be proud!), etc. ... it was fun!

After the PST event, we walked the boards & the kids went on some rides!

Another beautiful day filled with fun in the sun! :)

Polar Bear Plunge! (2/26/2011)

A beautiful Saturday morning down the Shore...

... but a "chilly day" ideal for the Polar Bear Plunge!!

I have always wanted to go check this event out and this year, the kids, Sharon, & I got to go... and were so happy we did! You know us-- we are always going here & there and trying new things. :) Anyway-- it was amazing how many people this event gathered... from participants who braved the icy waters of the Jersey Shore to viewers all bundled up and staying dry on the beach-- there were thousands of people out that day for the event!

AFter we left the event, we drove to the end of IBSP and walked along the beach... collecting shells and enjoying the gorgeous (but cold) afternoon!

Good-bye for now Jersey Shore... see you in a few (months)! Can't wait!

1st visit to Ocean City (9/18/2010)

Finally-- after 32 years... I (Brandi) went to Ocean City, NJ! As most of you know, I/we frequent the Jersey Shore quite often, but Ocean City is a placed I have always wanted to check out, but never went. So today, on my 32nd birthday, that's where Sharon, the kids, & I spent the day! :) It was a beautiful day down there and we had a good time!

While enjoying a little "down time" on the Boardwalk, we were startled by **LOUD** whoosh of planes flying overhead... and it continued-- guess what, the planes were practicing for tomorrow's Air Show. It was loud, but cool to watch!

Hey Mr. Peanut!

I took Angelia's on her 1st "Log Flume" ride! She was scared (I had "the death grip" on her the whole time!)... after the 1st "drop", she wanted to get off, but she went down the next one and was smiling when we got off. I don't think she'll be rushing back to ride it again anytime soon, but she tried it! :) I love sharing the "firsts" with my kids.

What a great way to spend "most" of my birth-DAY! :) A beautiful day & lots of fun!

Manasquan (5/29/2010)

Our 1st time to Manasquan... what an awesome place for a nice walk at/along the beach!

Sorry... I can't resist-- is this little man handsome or what?!
Signed... the Proud Mommy! :)

p.s. He was actually "girl watching" at this very moment when I took this. Yes-- checking out the older girls and... Mommy caught him! :)

Saturday night... down the Shore! (6/6/09)

It's summertime, it's a Saturday night, and down the shore Sharon & I go with with the kids in tow ... to Pt. Pleasant Beach we go!
We started off with a walk on the beach and then hit the Boardwalk where the kids enjoyed the rides... Mommy even got to go for a spin on a few with the kiddies, too, this time around! :)

(Little) Footprints in the sand... :)

What a beautiful view...

There was a party going on and the kids couldn't help to stop & check it out! They were ven dancing on the table... lol! As Aunt Sharon always says-- "these kids are always ready for a party!" :)

It was yet another fun summer night "down the shore"!

Our last Shore romp (9/20/08)

Okay... this is it! Our last trek down to the Jersey Shore for the season! To Seaside we went. It was a beautiful night down there. The kids rode the rides - trying out a few for the 1st time -- the swings, safari ride ... Angelia drove the Bumper Cars for the 1st time & giggled the entire time - she did pretty good; she needs to work on steering, though! ... and Memom even picked up a guy-- he's quite a "clown"! lol... :)
That's all she wrote for the romps to the Shore this year! Don't worry... we'll be back next year!

Before the summer ends... (9/5/08)

Before the summer officially ends and the Boardwalks close, we took a ride down to Pt. Pleasant. It was nice... not crowded and a cool breeze. :) The kids were all VERY excited to go on rides this time around... usually you have a few that don't want to participate, but this time, they were all into it! They rode the train, carousel, big rigs, firetrucks, the fishes, but they loved the motorcycles the most! The went round & round with big smiles on their faces and let out little giggles as their motorcycles popped a quick wheelie randomly... it was cute. :) After the rides, we went down to the inlet to watch the boats come in and then on to the beach we went. Angelia collected shells, Juliana chased the seasgulls, Micaela played in the sand, and Anthony took his time & took it all in. The poor thing was trying to take his time & enjoy, but hios poor shorts kept falling down! It was funny to see, but frustrating for him-- poor thing! :) Before we left, we stopped off at a few games. As per Aunt Sharon's idea, the stopped off to the play the ring toss. The kids had never played before, so this was all new.... so, instead of tossing the rings, they were throwing them-- and throwing them HARD! We felt bad for the guy running the game because the kids fired a few rings his way and hit him a few times, but accident! YIKES! :) Never a diull moment...

To the Beach! (6/30/08)

Something different for a Monday afternoon... we went "to the beach" (as the kids call it)! :)
I packed up the kids, picked up Grammy & Aunt Doris along the way, and "to the beach" (Seaside) we went... and had a nice time! :) It was a beautiful day "down the shore" today... sunny with a cool breeze. Grammy made sure the kids each had a hat... to shade them from the sun. :) We walked along the Boardwalk and I took the kids on to the beach to walk in the sand. This was the 1st time we did that this year and all of the kids liked the sand... surprisingly! :) They all kept their distance from the water, though. Angelia didn't want to come off of the sand, but I promised her we'd go back again soon.
It was a nice day. :)
