Triplets' 1st (school) Field Trip! (10/24/2011)

Today, the Triplets got to go on their 1st "school field trip"... they were SO excited! From the ride on the school bus with their friends to the experience on the farm, they had a great time!


Their 1st field trip was to SNIPES Farm in PA.


On this beautiful Fall day, the kids explored the farm, checked out the farm animals (turkeys, chickens, & bunnies- oh my!), visited the farm museum, went on a hayride, got pumpkins, played at the farm playground, etc.






They had such a good time today, but are anxious for other school trips! Where will they go next?? Such fun! :)

A day at Space Farms (8/21/2010)

Today, we visitied Space Farm for the 1st time!

Check out the bear behind us -- it's name is Goliath! Goliath, who once lived at Space Farms, was known as the largest bear in captivity in the World!

The kids really enjoyed checking out all of the animals and being able to feed most of them along our way aound the Zoo. Of all of the animals there, they liked the deer the best. I can't believe how "friendly" they can be. When in the wild, they are always running the other way at the slightest sound and here, they come right up to you and eat out of your hand, follow you as you walk, etc. It was neat! Mommy's personal favorite was the Prarie dogs! THey were too cute and they're "environment" was cool... lots of whole and tunnels to hide & travel in. The neatest thing is how one stands guard while the others play and after awhile, another comes up to take over as "look-out"... very cool!

Hot day down on the Farm! (5/26/2010)

Aunt Brandi chaperoned Savanna's field trip to Howell Farm... on the HOTTEST day in May (91+ degrees that day!)! Despite the heat, it was a fun trip. The kids got to check out & learn about all of the animals and about random jobs on the farm. It was cool for me to see how big the animals had gotten since I had been there last in early Spring for New Faces Day!



Nothing like wallowing & coolin' off in a nice mud puddle on a hot day! Ahhh! :)

Savanna Banana... I hope you had a good time! Aunt Brandi is glad I got to go with you on your trip! Love you!

New Faces Day (4/4/09)

It was a windy, but beautiful day "down on the farm".
After we left mini-VBS, we ventured to Howell Living Farm for "New Faces Day" ... a day to meet the new "babies" on the farm. Among the "new faces", the kids got to see (and even touch) lambs, chicks, and piglets ... and got to get up close to see pigs, oxen, and horses -- they were overwhelmed by the size of full-grown horses as they passed by pulling the hay wagon. It was a great opportunity for the kids... they were so excited to see the animals, especially Juliana -- my animal lover!



















I laugh every time I see this picture-- the "farm version" of Abbey Road! :)













We look forward to returning to Howell Living Farm this year and even next year to see how big all of these "babies" have gotten!
