Our 1st "mini" vacation! - Day 1 (7/9/08)

As I metioned in my last post, I've been very BUSY and WE have been on the go constantly!
Our "busy streak" started off with getting ready and then going for a 3-day getaway with Memom to Wildwood.... we had a great time! The kids did well in the car during the 2+ hr. trek down to Wildwood... only got a few "are we there yet?'s" from Angelia along the way.
Here are pics from the 1st day there. After we checked in to the hotel, we took a walk up to the beach, hung out there for awhile (see Juliana chasing the seagulls, Micaela trying to make a sand castle by "hand"), stopped at the local playground to play on the way back to the hotel, went to dinner, and then spent some time in Cape May (stopped at Sunset Beach & the lighhouse)-- before it rained!!! Memom topped off the night for the kids by making ice cream sundaes-- yum!
In the hotel room, there were dark red plush chairs. As soon as Anthony saw them, he was thrilled... yelling "Thinking chair!" with a huge grin on his face and proceeded to hop up into the chair! lol... He was referring to the "thinking chair" from Blue's Clues! :)
