Micaela's "Bieber Bike" (11/19/2011)

Did you have a SCHWINN bike when you were a kid? You remember the banana seat, high handlebars, etc ... I had one... bright pink-- I still have it, actually! Well, my CHILDREN are now riding those "antique" bikes, but they are getting an updated look! Believe it or not, these things are collector items and when in good shape, they are worth a LOT of money!! Anyway-- Aunt Sharon has decided to get her hands on a few Schwinn bikes and refurbish them... take them apart, clean them up, paint them, etc. The kids are SO excited about this project!!

Micaela was the 1st one to get one of these "personalized bikes". Aunt Sharon painted it white, purple, & black and they applied Justin Bieber stickers to it, and sealed them over. OMG-- Micaela is SO excited about her "Bieber bike". It's too funny to see her ride it... hands up high on the cars like she's riding a Chopper... lol!

Stay tuned as they "refurb" additional Schwinns. We have a bike for each of the girls and trying to find a boys' bike for Anthony... that's the challenge!

All 4 on 2 wheels! (6/4/2011)

As I rounded the corner by my house coming home from work, I spotted all 4 of my kids buzzing around the dead-end all on 2-wheels! Bye-bye training wheels... hello 2 wheels! Thanks to Aunt Sharon's help, they can all ride with no training wheels and are SO excited. They are doing pretty well so far... so proud of them! Wow-- they are getting so big, so fast!

As always, thank you Aunt Sharon! We love you!
Love... Angelia, Anto, Jules, & Gert

New wheels! (5/14/09)

All 4 kids got a set of new wheels... BIKE wheels, that is!
Upon opening the front door of the house, they were all so excited at the site of 4 bikes sitting in our driveway. They quickly rushed over to the bikes and staked claim on "their bike". Right away, they hopped on & were off and running. We started on the sidewalk, but it was a little difficult, so we took them into the street on the dead-end just beyond our driveway, and they all buzzed around... breaking in their "new wheels".

Besides the usual few falls and scratches, I am happy to report that they are all doing well with bike riding... getting easier & easier for them each day. Like with most things, though, Juliana seems like a "natural". She just gets on and rides and rides and rides! :)

"Bike! Bike!" (4/12-4/13/08)

Bike riding was the highlight and major focus for the weekend! With Angelia's St. Jude Trike-A-Thon coming up, it was time for Angelia to hop on her bike and start practicing... Aunt Sharon to the rescue! Sharon & Angelia went out front on Saturday afternoon and shortly after, Angelia was off and riding like a "big girl" (as she would say!). She was so excited and proud of herself! The triplets watched from the window and were carrying on... yelling "Bike!, Bike!". When I took Anthony out, he got down, ran over to the bike and hopped on... yes-- my son is getting very daring! As you can see, he wasn't about to let his cookie go either! :)
On Sunday, with the "big girls" (Angelia & Savanna) on their bikes, we decided to take a ride/walk around the block at Memom's. As you can see, Courtney and Anthony were working together to help each other around the block. They are too cute together!
