Micaela's "Bieber Bike" (11/19/2011)

Did you have a SCHWINN bike when you were a kid? You remember the banana seat, high handlebars, etc ... I had one... bright pink-- I still have it, actually! Well, my CHILDREN are now riding those "antique" bikes, but they are getting an updated look! Believe it or not, these things are collector items and when in good shape, they are worth a LOT of money!! Anyway-- Aunt Sharon has decided to get her hands on a few Schwinn bikes and refurbish them... take them apart, clean them up, paint them, etc. The kids are SO excited about this project!!

Micaela was the 1st one to get one of these "personalized bikes". Aunt Sharon painted it white, purple, & black and they applied Justin Bieber stickers to it, and sealed them over. OMG-- Micaela is SO excited about her "Bieber bike". It's too funny to see her ride it... hands up high on the cars like she's riding a Chopper... lol!

Stay tuned as they "refurb" additional Schwinns. We have a bike for each of the girls and trying to find a boys' bike for Anthony... that's the challenge!

Go shorty! (11/1/2011)

Juliana & Micaela have been needing & begging for a hair-cut, so we went today and they went SHORT! I wish they would have waited to make it long enough to dontae, but they didn't want to wait any longer.

Their cuts came out great! They looked so cute with their new shorty-do's!

Micaela grows (8/2011)

My Micaela has a green thumb! :) She has become quite the little gardener this year... I think our neighbor, Doris, is rubbing off on her... and I'm going to say she has some of my Pop-pop in her, as well. :) She has been SO excited to plant and grow stuff... Aunt Sharon has been assisting her do so. From flowers to tomatoes to pumpkins, she's tried an array of things. She is so proud and loves seeing the things grow-- we just have to get her to water them more regularly! :)

I wonder what she'll be growing next year! :) I'm hoping it's Jersey tomatoes and eggplant-- YUM! :)

Divas in training! (8/3/2011)

Watch out "Glam Squad"... 5 yr. old Divas headed your way! Wow-- they start early these days!

Juliana & Micael went to their friend Ella's birthday party at PINKY TOES and had a blast! Especially for Micaela (a.k.a. Little Miss Sassy), this was right up her alley!

The girls got to dress up & wear boa's, got to sit & chat, made jewelry, has tea time & cake... it was really cute!

These little girls were really livin' it up that day! :)

Micaela lost her 1st tooth! (7/11/2011)

Finally... it's happened!! Micaela's "special day" has arrived & she has lost her 1st tooth! She was SO excited!

She will be leaving her tooth "outside" of her room tonight (probably on the shelf OUTSIDE of her room), so the Tooth Fairy doesn't come into her room... for some reason, the thought of this scares her, but-- she likes the reward for losing tooth! :)

Poor George... (6/2011)

As I was cleaning up Juliana & Micaela's room today, I came across Curious George ... yes-- a pierced Curious George! Poor thig had pierced eye brows, lips, hands, ears... you name it! When I asked the girls what they did to poor George, they told me they pierced him. Micaela also added that some of the pins weren't closed because she was having a little trouble closing them! lol... nice!

Aunt Kelly-- I think you have rubbed off on my children a little bit!! lol...

My little "Lady Gaga" (2/2011)

Oh yes-- here she is... my "Little Miss Sassy" (a.k.a. Micaela). Micaela *loves* Lady Gaga's music... she yells "yay-- Wady Gaga!! Turn it up, Mom!" anytime a Lady Gaga song comes on... and then proceeds to dance around. A friend at work gave he this pair of "Lady Gaga" sunglasses for her and she was THRILLED! With her Mardi Gras "dice" beads around her neck, her "Lady Gaga" sunglasses on, and her attitude in full-effect, she thought she was "somethin'" that day, and the camera started snapping!

She is too funny with this stuff! I'm gonna have my hands full... :)
p.s. In case you didn't catch it earlier, yes-- Micaela calls her "Wady Gaga"... her "L's" come out as "W's"... lol! :)

Girls NIght Out -- CINDERELLA style! (8/6/2010)

Memom & I took the girls to see a local production of CINDERELLA... and had a great time! Micaela & Aunt Sharon went to the play the week before and had a great time, so the other girls (and Memom) wanted to go, too, so we did! :)

The show & it's characters were great. I loved how the kids got to interact with the cast, as well. At intermission, the kids got to dance with the characters as if they were at the "Grand Ball" and then following the show, the kids got to meet & greet all of the characters... getting autographs from them & taking pics with them.

The girls really had a great time... and so did my Mom and I. Seeing the girls interact with the characters was a sneek peek into all of the meet & greets we will have with all of the various characters when we got to DISNEY next month... can't wait!! :)
**What a fun Girls Night Out!**

Don't let smiles fool you! (6/1/2010)

Oh yes... These 2 are "sharks" in "goldfish costumes"! :)
*Pic too cute not to post!

Mommy loves you, girls! :)

My little "glamour girl"! (5/21/2010)

YES-- she's only 4 years old and YES-- she asked me to take a picture of her lookin' cute with her sunglasses on! A "diva-in-training"?? I think so! :) That's my Gertie!

She is really too much! She likes to dress up, use big wortds, likes to get all "prettied-up", poses for pics, etc ... too funny at such a young age! :) God knows what the teen years will bring? Wish me luck... :)

Like puppy... like baby doll! (May 2010)

lol... you'd think that Miley was the girls' "babydoll"! They carry her around, push her around in the stroller or shopping cart, share her room (and her bed)... the poor thing! But-- Miley loves the attention and the kids love giving it to her!

Miley tolerates the wrath of the girls well, I have to say. I think she gets back at them in her own little way, though, by nipping at their bare feet & flip flops! :)

For you, Mommy! (5/14/2010)

The girls decided to go out back in the yard & pick me flowers. They picked handfuls of the little white flowers that grow randomly in the grass and sstuffed them into this little vase! :) That's my girls... always thinking about their Momma! :)

Mommy loves you, babies! :)

Caught! (1/11/09)

When you go in to wake the girls (Juliana & Micaela) from their nap or bedtime, you NEVER KNOW what you will find! Well, today-- this is how I found them. Yes-- that is Juliana sleeping on the floor in a mesh pop-up hamper (which we have in there for their toys). Nice, huh? NEVER a dull moment with these 2!
Life is like a box of chocolates... you never know what you're gonna get! :)

A little sugar in the tank?! (10/16/08)

With the kids at this age, it's hard to keep track of them sometimes... even in the house! They are EVERYWHERE and into EVERYTHING! You think you gated them out of an area so they can't get in -- and they do OR you think they are 1 place and you find them in another! Well-- today, I went out into the kitchen to find Micaela sitting on the counter putting Splenda into one of the fish bowls! I guess she figured the fish would like some sugar, too! What next!?! Never a dull moment in this house........ CAUTION: even the most unexpected things may happen!

Let me change you! (6/23/08)

This is the sight I walked in to the other day... Micaela trying to change Anthony's diaper! She was in position and so was he and she was tugging at his shorts trying to get them down to get to his diaper... lol. I guess she thought she'd handle her brother like she handles her doll babies... at least Anthony is a good sport! :)
See-- never a dull moment in this house!

Micaela's 1st trip to the ER! (5/24/08)

If you've told them once, you've told them time & time again... SIT DOWN ON THAT CHAIR! Miss Micaela was standing on a "big girl chair", fell off, and hurt her left knee... she was obviously not listening! Daddy was "on duty" that morning and called Mommy at work to report... Micaela fell, she is crying her knee hurts, she's favoring that leg & limping, etc. followed by "I think she needs to go to the hospital to be checked." I came home to find her calm and walking pretty well on his which calmed my nerves. :) I then took her over to the ER and when they triaged her, they didn't believe anything was wrong but took x-rays to confirm. Sure enough, she was FINE ... just simply pain & redness (a contusion) from falling hard on it. So-- they wrapped her knee with a little ACE bandage for support & gave her Motrin (and a lollipop & sticker for being such a good girl!) and off we went.
As 1 mother told me, this is just 1 of many trips to the ER I will expereince in my life with 4 kids... oh joy! Hopefully not TOO many....

Look closely... (5/12/08)

... and you will see, my daughter standing on the window sill BEHIND the blinds! Yes-- only in our household!
It was a normal Monday morning and the triplets were all in the playroom (usually a safe haven for my kids) while I cleaned up. Out of the blue, I heard Micaela let out a panic-stricken cry, so I went to see what was going on. I looked around and no Micaela!!!!! As panic set in and I continued to look for her (I heard her, but couldn't see her), I saw a shadow through the blind. As I approached the window, I found Micaela standing on the window still behind the blind gripping onto the window. I can just imagine what passerbys on the street thoguht if they caught a glimpse of her in the window-- "animal house" for sure!! Like I said, only in our household! :)
As my friend Jessica would say, yet another "Mother of the Year" moment! :)

Hats off! (5/9/08)

My children, especially Anthony, have an obsession with hats. Anthony wears many hats, but lately, Anthony has found a love for a pink (yes-- PINK!) baseball hat and Micaela loves wearing her winter hat (even though it's Spring). I know, I know... I have to buy my son a more appropriate BOYS hat! Usually the kids only wear these in the house, but Aunt Sharon did let me in on a little secret-- she took them out on a walk the other day when I was at work and Anthony did have the pink hat on for the walk-- OMG-- yes Aunt Sharon, thank goodness Mommy didn't see that! lol... :)

Imagine waking up to this daily! (4/13/08)

Here she comes... down the steps as she does almost daily with this HUGE smile on her face, diaper only on (with duct tape, of course!), and "baby" and blanket in hand! This is what I am blessed to wake up to every morning! yes-- I am a very lucky Mommy! :) I love my Gertie (a.k.a. Micaela)!
p.s. If we could only be this happy and cheery in the morning! :)
