NICU Reunion 2011 (3/26/2011)

Once again this year, we joined other CHS @ Mercer NICU "grads" at Sesame Place for their annual NICU Reunion! As in all of the past years, the kids had a great time!

A future Dr. Anthony J. Zerilli?!? You never know...

Every year, the nurses help the NICU "grads" put their handprints on a huge banner... each year more and more hands added and the bigger & bigger those once tiny hands get! :) As you can see, the Zerilli triplets left their mark once again this year, too! :)

I am so grateful to the NICU at CHS @ Mercer for giving my babies a GREAT start! Along with the March of Dimes, they were and continue to be WONDERFUL! :) Thank you all for hosting this great event for the kids once again! :)

2010 NICU Reunion (3/21/2010)

Today, went to the annual Capital Health System @ Mercer NICU reunion at Sesame Place, as we have done the last few years now, and had yet-- another great time! All of the kids, except Micaela, enjoyed meeting each of the characters. With no surprise, Juliana LOVED meeting the characters... shaking their hands, calling their names, hugging them... it was cute to see her SO excited! We also went for a ride on the carousel, enjoyed an ELMO show, and the kids put their handprints on the annual NICU reunion quilt... a collection of handprints of the children that have all passed through the NICU at some point! It's awesome to see all of the hands!

Thank you CHS @ Mercer and the March of Dimes for sponsoring such a wonderful event! It's great to see so many growing, healthy children enjoying a great day! You have hoped SO many babies & families have a great start and for that, so many are so grateful! Thank you for everything! :)

Can you tell me how to get... (6/22/08)

... how to get to SESAME PLACE?? :)
We had our 1st "excursion" to SESAME PLACE this past weekend and we all had a great time! All 11 of us (me, Michael, triplets, Angelia, ToniAnn, Stephanie, CJ, Thomas, & Matthew) headed out later in the afternoon on Sunday, which ended up being a great choice! The a.m. rain must have scared the usual weekend visitors to the park away, so by the time we got there, there were not too many people there... little to no lines, no crowds, it was nice! The little ones loved splashing around in the pools and the big kids had fun on the tube rides. I even took a few rides with the kids on the tube rides... it was fun-- it's been years! :)
We caught the parade down Sesame Street before we left the park and the kids were so excited to see the characters! They would randomly yell out the names of the characters with huge smiles on their faces-- too cute! As you can see, even the "big kids" were excited over seeing the characters!
We'll have to go back again... that's when we can get a deal like we got this weekend-- thanks AAA for the free/discount tickets! :)

NICU Reunion at Sesame Place (3/30/08)

More Sesame Street!?!!
Capital Health System @ Mercer hosted a NICU Reunion at Sesame Place this weekend! It was really nice & fun! We started off with watching an ELMO's WORLD show. In the show, Angelia got picked to be a "fishie" helper for Elmo along with a few other kids. She did well & looked cute! After the show, we all went to the dining hall where the kids (and parents) got to enjoy some goodies and could meet and greet Elmo, Cookie Monster, Bert, & Ernie. Angelia & Juliana were thrilled about meeting the characters, Anthony enjoyed seeing them, but wouldn't get too closes, and finally Micaela-- she freaked and/or got updet when one of the characters came near her.
Obviously, being a NICU reunion, there were tons of children there. It's so great to see so many happy, healthy children running around & enjoying themselves. So many of them were born prematurely, have overcome so much at such a young age, etc., and here they are... it's so wonderful what the NICU & March of Dimes can do!
**Thank you to CHS, MOD, and Sesame Place! It was a geat day & great event! :)
