Since Angelia has a "summer birthday" and won't be in school when it comes around, her teacher let's them celebrate their "half birthday!" I love this idea! Angelia's teacher knows what it's like -- having a "summer birthday" herself, so she wanted each child to have the opportunity to celebrate their big day in school with their classmates hence celebrating "half-birthdays"!
So, Angelia enjoyed her special day... she brought in ice cream cone cupcakes to share with her friends, each of her classmates made her a birthday card, and she did other special things that day in school in celebration of being 5 and a half! :) It was a nice day for her. :)
